VACATION & HOLIDAY http://www.hoyaenglish.com

~VACATION~

Vacation and Holidays Vacation Teachers should expect to have ten days vacation included in a standard contract agreement.

However some contracts vary depending on the policies of the school. Most employers grant five days in the summer and five days in the winter for vacation.

Teachers usually go around South Korea or visit Asian neighbor countries, check out good places to visit durin your vacation to make sure to have fun and enjoy those days.

~HOLIDAYS~

National holidays are also days where instuctors are not expected to work and schools are usually closed.

Early Korea used a lunar calendar, as did most agrarian societies. As the rest of the world encroached on Korea, it eventually went to the solar calendar. Yet much of the country still uses the lunar calendar to keep track of births and deaths and some traditional holidays. Many people celebrate their birthdays according to both calendars, and the first days of each calendar are national holidays.
